When you place an order to purchase a product from luxury curtains direct.com , we will send you an e-mail confirming receipt of your order and containing the details of your order.
Your order represents an offer to us to purchase a product, which is accepted by us when we send e-mail confirmation to you that we’ve dispatched that product to you. That acceptance will be complete at the time we send the Confirmation of Dispatch E-mail to you. Any products on the same order which we have not confirmed in a Dispatch Confirmation E-mail to have been dispatched do not form part of that contract.
When ordering goods for delivery overseas you may be subject to import duties and taxes. You will be responsible for all such charges, together with any additional charges for customs clearance.
Returns & replacements
All products are quality checked before dispatch but in the unlikely event that you experience any problems please contact us.
We will deal with your queries quickly and efficiently, and if necessary arrange for a replacement to be sent without delay. If you return products that were posted free of charge by us as a result of the order value exceeding £100, we reserve the right to charge a postage fee if all or part of the order is returned to us results in the aggregate value of the goods not returned to be under £100. We also cannot accept returns on special offer or discounted products.
No quibble returns
If any item displaying the no quibble refund icon does not meet your expectations you may return it at your cost within 14 days for a no questions asked refund of the value of the product.
All we require is that it arrives in original condition; including the packaging & that you obtain proof of return from your carrier. We cannot refund any pre packed items such as curtain tape and haberdashery products that where the packaging has been opened, and we cannot refund any other products without the original packaging or products that have been trimmed or adjusted in any way.
If you’re shopping with us online or over the telephone, then you’ll be pleased to hear that you are covered by the Consumer Contract Regulations. These have been established to make sure you have an opportunity to cancel your order if the goods aren’t what you expected. After all, we all make mistakes from time to time.
Items must be in brand new condition and show no signs of wear with all original packaging, tags and labels still attached. Original boxes and other containers that products are sold in are considered part of the product and must also be returned in undamaged and unused condition. Items returned without their branded packaging or in a re-saleable condition will not be accepted.
You may return unopened or faulty, defective items within 14 days of delivery for refund/replacement.
UK ONLY: This does not affect your statutory rights – so you may still return sale items for a refund under the Distance Selling Regulation, which requires that you provide us written notification of cancellation within 14 days of delivery.
These regulations don’t apply to anything that has been personalised or to intimate, perishable or time-critical goods
The parcel should contain:
- The item(s) you purchased that you wish to return in their original condition.
- Your original invoice and a note clearly stating which item(s) you are returning and the reasons why you are returning the goods.
You will need to pay for the postage but we will refund the reasonable delivery charge if we have made an error in our dispatch or if the item received is faulty or unfit for purpose, unless you have decided to keep part of the received order. We will also refund your delivery charge if you are an EU customer cancelling within 7 days of receiving of your order under the Distance Selling Regulations.
We are unable to accept any responsibility for items that are lost or damaged in the post. You must ensure that your items are securely packaged, and obtain a proof of posting. Please allow at least seven days for your goods to reach us.

Please note that you must be able to provide proof of delivery to us of your returns, so please ensure you retain any tracking information in case we cannot locate your parcel.
Returning fabric & other cut items
Fabric is treated by us as an item made specifically for you, as it is cut from a larger roll and is cut specifically to your required length.
Because of this we provide a sampling service to allow you to ensure that the fabric you wish to purchase is suitable for your requirements both in respect of colour, pattern and quality.
If you wish to return fabric (or other items that have been cut to length as a result of your order), you may return them at your cost, but all items will be subject to a cutting charge. This is purely to cover the waste generated.
The Cutting Charge will be calculated as follows:
- 2m or less of fabric returned – 50% cutting charge
- 3m or more fabric returned – 25% cutting charge
All amounts will be calculated on the price paid for the fabrics at the time of order.
Please ensure that you are totally satisfied for that any fabrics you order are the correct shade by ordering a sample, as all returned fabrics are subject to our cutting charge, regardless of the reason for return.
Any queries regarding the measurements, meterage or length of fabric received must be drawn to our attention within 5 working days of receipt. It is only possible for us to rectify mistakes on the lengths/meterage of fabrics prior to the fabric being cut into. Once a fabric has been cut or altered in any way we cannot be responsible for any shortages in length.
Please note that the colours depicted in our website are only a representation of the colours. Our sampling service is provided to allow customers to see samples of the actual fabric before ordering. We cannot accept any responsibility for colour and/or shade differences between the representations on the website, and the actual fabric (or Ready Made Curtains). Whilst we take as much care as possible, there may be some slight shade variation between samples sent out and the colour of the actual fabric.
Returning made to measure items
Made to measure items (e.g. blinds) ordered and dispatched from our website by us or and third party are not capable of being returned, and they are made specifically for your requirements.
The exceptions apply in the event of defective manufacture or damage in transit. Please see “Accepting and/or receiving Goods From us” in respect of items damaged in transit.
Returning made to measure items
Due to hygiene reasons we are unable to offer exchanges/returns on bedding such as duvets, duvet covers, blankets or throw that have been taken out of its original packaging.
Accepting and/or receiving goods from us
Where you order goods from this website, and they are dispatched to you from any of our nominated carriers or postal methods, you agree to inspect the goods so far as is practical before you sign and accept them. This applies to anyone accepting goods on your behalf. We may not be responsible for damage to goods that was identifiable at the time the goods were delivered, unless notified to our nominated carrier company that the goods are damaged at the time of signing. This notification must be in writing.
Pricing & availability
We list availability information for products sold by us on the website. Please note that dispatch estimates are just that. They are not guaranteed dispatch times and should not be relied upon as such. As we process your order, we will inform you by e-mail if any products you order turn out to be unavailable, and we will confirm dispatch of your goods by way of a Confirmation of Dispatch E-mail. Prices displayed are the lowest prices available when this page was last updated. All offers are subject to very limited availability. All prices shown are updated on a regular basis and therefore could change at any time. All offers are subject to availability. We reserve the right to withdraw any offers and products at any time and without notice.

We reserves the right to decline to accept orders where, in its opinion, a promotion code is invalid for the order being placed. Promotion codes are only valid on specific products while stocks last and may be withdrawn at any time. Only one promotion code can be used per order. Promotion codes are not valid in conjunction with any other promotion. Offer is not valid on sale items or other discounted items.
In the event of product returns, refunds will be given for cash used in the original purchase once the discount is applied, less any shipping, gift wrap or gift card costs charged on the original order.
In the event of part of the order being returned, the value of the discount applied on that order will be spread between the goods proportionately. The sum in cash exceeding this value, less any shipping, gift wrap or gift card costs charged on the original order, will be returned to the customer. The promotional discount will not be applied to replacement items, if the offer is still valid at the time of making a return – you should place a new order using the original promotional code. In the event of part of the order being returned, the value of the promotion code will be deemed to be spread between the goods proportionately. The sum in cash exceeding this value, less any delivery or gift box costs charged on the original order, will be returned to the customer. In the event of any returns meaning that the order no longer qualifies for the promotion advertised, we reserve the right to deduct the value of the offer from the refund.

If a promotional code does not work, in most cases it is because it has expired on our website. Errors on Website

We reserve the right to correct errors and/or update the content on our website at any time without notice. Packaged items will usually contain care instructions in the packaging, and with other items we may provide literature details how to care for your products. Shrinkage and colour loss
When soft furnishings are washed, some slight shrinkage and some colour loss may occur. Details of this information will be provided with your products, either on the packaging, or additional leaflets provided by us. You accept this information as part of the terms and conditions and agree that and colour loss or shrinkage mentioned in this information is reasonable.
How to Claim
If you find a fault with your item then please contact our customer service team using our online contact form. Include your order number, telephone number, and date of purchase. We will need a detailed description of the fault. We often find it useful if you can supply photographs of the fault (where possible) to help us resolve this for you as quickly as possible. It can be much quicker to resolve the issue when we can see the problem.
We will then discuss the issue with you and decide on the appropriate action to take. If we agree that the issue falls under the guarantee we arrange a repair or replacement. The action taken after this point is specific to the manufacturer and how long replacement items and /or repairs take. We will always do our utmost to ensure items are repaired or replaced as quickly as possible. We will advise you of what happens next at the time and keep you informed of any updates to the progress of your claim.
We will not be responsible for any indirect or consequential loss that is not reasonably foreseeable to both you and us when you commenced using the website or when a contract for the sale of goods by us to you was formed.
